Energy, heat, and energy services which promote energy efficiency are entitled to the Norppa label. The label is design to inform consumers of environmentally friendly energy products. Norppa labelled energy or heat may be produced by wind power, renewable bioenergy, hydropower and photovoltaics. Energy services include installation of heat pumps, small wind mills or energy efficiency consultation.
Norppa labelled electricity can be sold as Bra Miljöval labelled in Sweden and vice versa. The Finnish Association for Nature Conservation is also a member of the EUGENE standard.
